Please try again To date, I have used it as a rear bagger twice and mulcher once. Most people will be happy with its cutting ability as long as the blades are kept sharpened. The first time I mowed, it completely filled the bag. The second time I mowed, I finished cutting the lawn before the bag filled. I used it as a mulcher the third time and it performed well. The mower has been used on St Augustine grass that has recently received much rainfall. Because of the need to wait between rains until the grass was no longer wet, the lawn got a little longer than desired between mowings, but had a healthy level of moisture when it was mowed. The mower seemed to cut each blade of grass cleanly without evidence of tearing. I noticed a few uncut blades of grass at times necessitating going back over those areas, but this was no different than my prior experience with gasoline mowers. Walking a little slower (probably a little slower than what would be required with a gasoline engine mower) seemed to prevent this from occurring. The first time I used the mower, I was having a little problem placing the bag on the mower and the flap that has to be lifted to put it in place keep getting hung up.

When I looked closely, I noticed the cord coming from the mower was bowing out slightly and that was causing the flap to hang up. I knew this going in but heard that the batteries fail over time so went with the corded one anyways. One feature I wish it had is a water hose attachment for easy cleaning of the underside. It shut off and won't start again halfway through my lawn. There is nothing special about this mowing, the grass isn't particularly long and it's not wet at all. This mower is light weight. Then, I moved to places that had much more land and the use of such was impossible. For the last few years, I've lived where there is a combination of riding mower and walk-behind needed. My gasoline walk-behind developed problems that were going to cost more to fix than it was worth. So, I bought this one. It took just a few minutes to get the mower assembled and the handle adjusted. I sprayed the underside with vegetable oil and started using it. It works great. It is heavy enough to not bounce around on uneven ground, but is light enough to let an old man with back and leg problems to push it around. Using a 12-3 cord is necessary for the distance I have to go with this and it just won't fit into the mower as designed. It also requires holding onto the mower with your right hand 100% of the time, regardless of the direction being mowed and where the cord is. What a shame that this needs done. Yes, this is still a 5 star mower. The height adjustment is very easily used.
